
A developer of video games U.S. continues Beyonce for more than $100 m (£ 61 m), stating that it "destroyed [his] activities... on a whim". Five gate LLC alleges the singer "unscrupulous" scuttled plans for a game called Starpower: Beyonce, forcing the company to return 70 employees the week before Christmas.
Under a subpoena filed on Tuesday in New York (April), Beyonce associated with five door in June 2010, accepting its image as a "non-profit joint venture" licence. The company claims that it has invested 7 m $ in the video game Starpower, which would have left players along with Beyonce tunes dance such as Crazy in Love. But while Beyonce "had already negotiated compensation lavish terms", the singer apparently changed his mind in mid-December, at a "crucial moment in the development of the software. The door of five lawyers allege Beyonce "make exorbitant demand for entirely new terms of compensation." It fled its funder, Beyonce "withdraw", and the project collapsed.
It was, documents of the Court to declare, "a violation of the bad faith of the contract so insensitive that on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate five of the company and led to 70 people in unemployment". Founder "Christmas week, she said that it is, I don't want to hear from you guys, go further," Grey Easley told New York magazine. Five gate supports the father of Beyonce-both his manager - "gave up" his behaviour allegedly Scrooge-like.
Door of five promises more unpleasant details are to come, but "us had much rather make a game of litigate", Easley said. Beyonce did not yet respond to the allegations.
